Your inbox

Every person who reaches out through your website lands in one place. Someone fills in a contact form, or a visitor starts a chat, and it shows up in your inbox so nothing slips past you.

Find your inbox

In the menu across the top, click Inbox. It opens on All leads:

The sidebar splits your inbox three ways. They all show the same kind of thing, a person who reached out, just filtered differently:

All leads

Everyone who reached out, form fills and visitor chats together, in the order they arrived. This is the view to check when you just want to see what's new. A count at the top tells you how many leads you have.

Form fills

Only the contact details and messages people submitted through your website forms, a contact form, a quote request, and the like. If someone filled in a form on your site, they're here.

Visitor chats

Only the conversations visitors started from your website. Each one shows which channel it came in on and where it stands. Your site's chat assistant answers visitors on its own; you can read any conversation, reply yourself, or take it over so the assistant stops answering.

Ask Site Star

  • What did the last visitor ask about?
  • Reply to the visitor asking about Saturday hours: yes, we're open 8 to 2
  • Take over the chat with the visitor asking about a quote, I'll handle it
  • Is any visitor waiting on me?
Or do it yourself in the Site Star dashboard

Open the chat from Visitor chats. It shows the transcript and a reply box. Take over pauses the assistant on that conversation; Hand back to Site Star lets it resume.

Reading a lead

Each lead is a row. You see who it's from, whether it's a form fill or a chat, a short preview, and when it came in.

Ask Site Star Not supported yet

Site Star can't do this one for you yet. Check back soon; for now, the steps below do it in the Site Star dashboard.

Or do it yourself in the Site Star dashboard

Click a row to open it:

  • A form fill shows the person's email (click it to reply), which form they used, and everything they typed into the form.
  • A visitor chat shows the channel, its status, and a short summary of the conversation.

If you have a lot of leads, a Load more button at the bottom brings in older ones.
