Connect an AI assistant

If you use an AI assistant like Claude, you can connect it to your Site Star site. Once connected, your assistant can reach your site, so you can work with it right from the conversations you're already having. Connecting takes one address and a sign-in, and you can cut off access any time.

How this is different from messaging your site

Text, email, and the Site Star dashboard all talk to your site's own agent. A connected assistant is your agent, working in your chat, with the same access to your site. The outcome is the same: it can do everything in these guides, in the same words. What changes is where you're sitting when you ask.

1

Find the connect address

Make sure you're on the Website tab, then open Settings in the sidebar and click Access. The Connect an AI assistant card is at the top:

2

Connect it

  • Click Copy next to the address on the card.
  • Add that address in Claude, or any assistant that supports connectors, wherever it lets you add a connector.
  • The assistant sends you to sign in to Site Star. Sign in and choose which site it can access.

That's it. There's no key or secret to paste back, and the access lasts until you revoke it.

One address, a sign-in, and your assistant is connected.
3

See what has access, and revoke it

Below the connect card, the Has access list shows every assistant and app that can reach this site, with when it was authorized. Click Revoke next to any of them and its access ends immediately.

Each connection is limited to the one site you chose when connecting. To see everything connected across your whole account, there's an account-wide Access page in your account settings with the same layout.

You may also see an API keys card here. Most people never need one — assistants connect with just the address above.
