Your site can keep more people in the loop than just you. Site contacts are the people who receive updates from your site, and the people allowed to send it requests by email or text, like a business partner or your office manager.
These three all reach the same Site Star agent, and it does the same thing whichever you pick. Use whatever's in reach.
- Site Star dashboardThe message box on My Site, once you're signed in.
- TextText your site's number from a phone it knows. Photos come through.
- EmailEmail your site's address. Attachments come through.
- Your own AI assistant Different setup, same result. Connect Claude or another assistant to your site once, then ask it from the chat you already use, and it acts on your site for you. Set it up
Add a contact
A contact is an email address, a phone number, or both, plus a name if you like. Phone numbers need the + and country code, like +18337126151. As the account owner, you can always email the site yourself, with no setup.

Or do it yourself in the Site Star dashboard
Make sure you're on the Website tab, then open Settings in the sidebar and click Site basics. The Site contacts list is there:
Click Add contact and enter their details. Each contact shows in the list with a summary of what they get and can do, and you can Edit or Remove them any time.
What each permission means
Every contact has four switches, so each person gets exactly what's useful to them and nothing more:
- Gets notifications — alerts and form messages, so they hear when something needs attention or a lead comes in.
- Gets reports — the weekly email about how the site is doing.
- Can email the website — they can send change requests to your site's email address, just like you do.
- Can text the website — messages from their phone number can start a conversation with the site, so they can request changes by text.

In the Site contacts list, click Edit next to the contact and switch Can email the website or Can text the website.
One technical note on "Can email the website": the sender's email domain must publish a DMARC record, or their messages will be rejected. If a contact's emails aren't arriving, that's the first thing to check — or just get in touch and Site Star will sort it out.
